Pollack Fishing Conservation Rules (2026)
No rod licence for sea angling
Pollack hit fast-retrieved lures near kelp and rough ground. Hold on — they dive hard on the take.
Regulations
Since 1 June 2026, recreational anglers may retain no more than three pollack per day in Irish waters. Once that limit is reached, any additional pollack must be released. Read the current conservation rule linked above and verify the official notice before fishing.
